DefectA short circuit within the battery modules during the vehicle?? service life cannot be ruled out under certain circumstances which could lead to thermal events and later to a fire in the vehicle.
RemedyOn the affected vehicles the battery modules must be replaced and the on-board diagnostic software (BMCe control unit) will be installed.
