DefectMercedes-Benz are updating the engine control unit software in diesel vehicles with emissions standard Euro 5 as part of a mandatory recall. This measure was supposedly carried out previously on the vehicles included in this measure but the software update was not properly documented in our systems at that time.
RemedyMercedes-Benz will perform control unit programming on the vehicles affected using the Service Measure special process as part of a recall. As part of this the software of the affected control units will be updated. The scope of the affected control units may vary depending on the vehicle equipment.
