DefectAs part of our continuous quality monitoring we have found that a thermal reaction may occur at the battery connection bolts of the electronically controlled power steering pump (EHPS (Electrohydraulic Power Steering)) of the trailing axle on vehicles of models eActros 983 and eEconic 956. The two battery connection points of the electronically controlled power steering pump of the trailing axle are located at the bottom in the installation position and are provided with a cover cap to protect against contact. RemedyAs part of the recall campaign the electronically controlled power steering pump and the cover cap must be replaced on the affected vehicles.
