DefectAs part of our continuous quality monitoring we have identified that the vehicle-specific RDF3 (radar front end) installation height value has not been parameterized in Econic 956 Actros 963 Arocs 964 Atego 967 and eActros 983 model vehicles. Instead of the vehicle-specific installation height value a substitute value of 1 m has been entered. The substitute value is always higher than the actual installation situation. RDF3 is responsible for object recognition detecting clearance as well as close and long-range processing. It can also detect the ability to drive under and over objects which …
RemedyAs a permanent measure we wish to determine the installation height of the RDF3 manually and parameterize the determined value in potentially affected vehicles as part of this recall campaign.
