DefectAs part of our ongoing quality monitoring we have determined that on Actros 963 and eActros 983 vehicles the rear wheel arch cover on the front axle could fall off. A design-related plastic rib that is too high leads to a collision between the wheel arch cover and the fender. Due to the excessively high plastic rib on the rear wheel arch cover of the front axle this may be installed with preload and thus some fastening points may not be fully engaged. RemedyAs part of the recall campaign the excessively high plastic rib must be shortened on the potentially affected vehicles.
