DefectFord Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain tie rod assemblies, with part numbers FC4Z-3280-FA and FC4Z-3280-HA. The front axle tie rod assemblies may contain ball studs that have been incorrectly heat-treated, which can cause them to break, and possibly result in tie rod failure._x000D_ Tie rod failure can cause a loss of vehicle steering control and increase the risk of a crash.
