DefectGeneral Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain Buick Envision all-weather floor mats with part number 85647097, that may have been installed in certain 2024 Buick Envision vehicles. The accelerator pedal may become trapped under the floor mat, which can result in unintended acceleration._x000D_ Unintended acceleration increases the risk of a crash.

RemedyDealers will inspect the vehicle for the driver-side all-weather floor mat. If the floor mat is present, dealers will modify the mat and reimburse owners for the original cost of the all-weather floor mat. Owners that do not want a modified floor mat will have the option to return the mat for reimbursement. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 23, 2024. Owners may contact Buick's call center number at 800-521-7300 for more information. GM's number for this recall is N242466850.
