DefectCorp. Micro Bird, Inc. (Micro Bird) is recalling certain 2023-2024 G5 school buses. The engine drive belt tensioner may fail, resulting in a loose drive belt._x000D_ A loose drive belt can result in a loss of power steering, or a loss of alternator and water pump function, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, the engine may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
ComponentENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
RemedyDealers will replace the engine drive belt tensioner and belt, free of charge. Owner notification letters will be mailed November 11, 2024. Owners can contact Micro Bird Customer Service at 819-477-2012. Micro Bird's number for this recall is 24-111-GUS.
