DefectCummins Inc. (Cummins) is recalling the high voltage battery packs in certain PowerDrive 7000 electric drivetrains. Pieces of the internal fasteners in the battery may detach, causing the battery pack to short circuit and fail._x000D_ Battery failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, a battery short circuit increases the risk of a fire.

RemedyThe remedy is currently under development. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 10, 2025. Owners may contact Cummins customer service at 1-800-286-6467. Cummins's number for this recall is C7135.
