Defect	Mack Trucks, Inc. (Mack) is recalling certain 2026 Mack GR trucks. The brake drum and steer axle combination are incompatible, which may cause a loss of brake function. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 121, "Air Brake Systems."_x000D_ Reduced brake function can extend the distance required to stop, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy	Dealers will replace the steer axle brake drums, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 19, 2025. Owners may contact Mack's customer service at 1-800-866-1177. Mack's number for this recall is SC0482.
