Defect	Fontaine Modification Company (Fontaine Modification) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Freightliner Business Class M2 vehicles. Welds may crack and fail, allowing the Intermediate steering shaft assembly to detach from the steering column._x000D_ A steering shaft that detaches can result in a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy	Fontaine Modification will replace the intermediate steering shaft, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 2025. Owners may contact Fontaine Modification customer service at 1-800-366-8246.
