DefectFord Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain Ford Mustang superchargers with part number M-6066-M8800, that were sold as aftermarket accessory kits for 2024-2025 Mustang vehicles. The powertrain control module (PCM) may experience a software error and disable functional safety features. Deactivated safety features can fail to prevent unintended acceleration or unintended vehicle movement._x000D_ Unintended acceleration increases the risk of a crash.
ComponentENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING
RemedyDealers will update the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software, free of charge. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed October 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available, anticipated October 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25SA7.
