DefectFord Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain engine block heaters, with part numbers CV6Z-6A051-CA and CV6Z-6A051-AA, sold as accessory parts for certain 2013-2019 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with 2.0L engines. The engine block heater may crack and develop a coolant leak, causing it to short circuit when the block heater is plugged in._x000D_ An electrical short circuit can increase the risk of a fire.

RemedyOwners are advised not to plug in their block heater until their vehicle is remedied. Dealers will contact customers with instructions to return the part for a full refund or dealers will replace the block heater once a newly designed part is available, free of charge. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 26S02.
