A firmware update was rolled out to affected Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Versa 3 devices, which Fitbit considers mitigates the risk of the battery overheating in those devices. Consumers do not need to return their devices to receive the firmware update. An overheating battery could pose a risk of burns to a user. |
| Remedy | Submit a request here (link is external) to find out if your device is impacted. Check that your device has received this firmware update. This issue does not affect all Versa 3 and Sense devices. If your device is impacted by the issue, the new battery management system will be activated. If your device is not impacted by the issue, the firmware update will have no impact on battery management and the device will perform the same as before. You don’t need to return your device.
