Hazard descriptionThe controller may malfunction and cause the engine to go into ‘limp mode’ and it will not allow for any gears to be changed, and engine power will be limited. There is a risk of serious injury or death from collision if the boat unable to be controlled or has limited engine power.
RemedyStop using boats with the affected controls and contact an authorised Mercury Marine dealer (link is external) immediately. An authorised Mercury Marine dealer will rectify the affected controls. Contact Marine Power International Email: merc.info@mercmarine.com (link sends email)
