Hazard descriptionThe products are being recalled because the sand may contain asbestos, which is a prohibited substance in Australia. The products may cause a risk to health as initial testing found unidentified mineral fibres that were consistent with tremolite – type asbestos.
RemedyStop using the products immediately. For safe disposal advice from the Asbestos and Silica Safety and Eradication Agency, visit the ACCC Product Safety website. Contact your place of purchase, with proof of purchase, to arrange a full refund.
