DefectIssue: On certain hybrid vehicles, a problem in the hybrid power control unit (HPCU) could cause it to overheat. Note: This problem could cause the vehicle not to start or to enter a reduced power mode and the malfunction indicator lamp to display. Safety Risk: An HPCU that overheats can create a fire risk. Corrective Actions: Hyundai will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the HPCU software.
