HazardElectric shock, Injuries
Hazard descriptionIf the appliance is dropped the back casing of the hair dryer becomes detached from the rest of the appliance, rendering the blades of the fan accessible to the user. This may lead to injuries. Some conductors are held in place by soldering only. With wear and tear over time, the soldering may deteriorate and the conductors may come loose. Consequently, the distance between the live parts and the accessible parts becomes too small, leading to a risk of electric shock.
