HazardElectric Shock
Hazard descriptionThe product presents a high risk of electric shock as it featured poor quality connections with wires soldered directly to the PCB. Additionally, the product only had one bridging capacitor whereas two or more in a series are required. Arcing could also be identified on the secondary side of the transformer. The plug face did not meet the dimensional requirements of the relevant standard as the live pin was too wide and short. Additionally, the neutral pin was too close to the edge of the plug, which allows access to live parts when plugging in, or unplugging, the plug from the socket.
