Defect	Issue: On certain vehicles, the engine wiring harness may not have enough protection and could become damaged by contact with surrounding components. As a result, the wiring harness could short circuit. Safety Risk: A short circuit can create the risk of a fire. Corrective Actions: Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to install additional protection on the engine wiring harness. The dealer will also repair or replace the engine wiring harness, as necessary.
