Defect	Due to insufficient assembly instructions for the cowl louver to the vehicle body, rainwater etc. may drip from the water-stop seal part onto the brake booster. As a result, rust may form on the brake booster, and if use is continued in this state, the rust will progress rapidly, and in the worst case, a hole may form in the brake booster, increasing the brake pedal operating force and potentially lengthening the braking distance.

Remedy	For all vehicles, inspect the brake booster and implement one of the following corrective actions. ① If there is no rust or only minor rust, apply a rust preventative. ② If extensive rust due to dripping rainwater etc. is found at the lower end of the brake booster, in addition to applying a rust preventative, replace the cowl louver's water-stop seal with an improved part. ③ If rust has progressed to peeling or perforation, replace the brake booster with a new one and replace the cowl louver's water-stop seal with an improved part.
