Defect	Due to a manufacturing issue, vehicles with 8F57 transmission may contain an Electronic One-Way Clutch Assembly built with an unseated snap ring. This may cause an unexpected loss of first and/or reverse gear resulting in a sudden loss of forward or reverse movement of the vehicle. This may result in a potential safety hazard, as the vehicle may become unexpectedly stranded while driving, or be unable to back out of a driveway or parking space due to the total loss of first and / or reverse gears.
