Non-compliance	The battery management system in the lithium-ion batteries in the toilet and adapter kit does not prevent charging when the temperature is at or below 0°C. The battery can be damaged if charged at temperatures below 0°C. Damaged batteries can overheat, release smoke and toxic gas or catch fire in any weather, even if not being used.
Remedy	If the battery has been charged at temperatures under 3°C or if you are unsure: immediately stop using the affected toilets and adapter kits disconnect the lithium-ion battery from its power source and remove the battery from the toilet or the adapter kit. If you need help disconnecting and removing the battery, contact Compo Closet Ltd. If the battery has not been charged at or will not be exposed to temperatures below 3°C, you can continue to use the affected toilet or adapter kit until you receive a replacement battery.
