DefectThe rear brake line (p/n 41800974) on certain MY25-26 Softail model motorcycles built between 25 June 2024 – 21 March 2026 may contact the Body Control Module (BCM). Contact between the brake line and the BCM, over time, could lead to a hole in the brake line and a loss of brake fluid. If brake fluid loss remains undetected, rear braking may be compromised, increasing the risk of a crash.

RemedyOwners of affected motorcycles should contact their nearest Harley-Davidson dealer to schedule an appointment to have a new BCM Caddy installed on your motorcycle free of charge. This repair should take approximately 60 to 100 minutes. However, due to scheduling and recall kit availability, the dealer may require your motorcycle for a longer period.
