| Defect | This recall is related to a potential issue with the vehicle’s High-voltage Battery Management System (″BMS″), specifically the software logic responsible for monitoring cell voltage fluctuations while the vehicle is parked. Hyundai Motor Company has identified that, under certain conditions, the current BMS software may not detect these voltage fluctuations. In very rare situations, this could increase the risk of a thermal event involving the high‑voltage battery. |
