DefectProduction influences can lead to increased wear in the Starter Motor solenoid switch on affected vehicles after a large number of starting operations. This impairs the engine's starting capability. Under certain circumstances, it may no longer be possible to start the engine. In addition, a short circuit in the solenoid switch cannot be ruled out, which can lead to local overheating of the starter motor.
