DefectOn certain trucks, the ball stud on the lift axle tie rod(s) may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the stud could fail and cause a loss of steering control and/or the tie rod(s) to separate from the axle._x000D_ Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with a Hendrickson Composilite steerable lift axle._x000D_ A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash. A tie rod that separates could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of injury.

RemedyDaimler Truck North America (DTNA) will notify the owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a DTNA authorized service facility to replace the lift axle tie rod(s).
