DefectOn a small number of trucks, the steer axle wheel bearings may not have been manufactured with enough grease. As a result, the bearings could become damaged and overheat._x000D_ Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with certain Meritor steer axles._x000D_ A wheel bearing that overheats can create the risk of a fire.

RemedyPACCAR will notify owners in writing and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to inspect and, as necessary, replace the steer axle wheel bearings. The dealer will also repack the bearings with grease.
