DefectOn certain vehicles, a problem with the electric drive motor software could cause the vehicle to enter a fail-safe mode. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels._x000D_ Note: This problem would cause a warning light to turn on and a warning message to be displayed._x000D_ A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash.

RemedyBMW will notify owners by mail and send a wireless over-the-air software update to eligible vehicles to update the electric drive motor software. Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a BMW dealership.
