DefectOn certain motorcycles, the shift arm may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the fasteners that secure the shift arm could loosen and detach. If this happens, the shift arm could fall off and you would not be able to change gears._x000D_ Not being able to change gears could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a shift arm that detaches from the motorcycle could create a road hazard for others and increase the risk of a crash.
