DefectOn certain aerial devices and digger derricks, the cable step wire ropes that secure the entry step could fail. As a result, the cable could detach and cause a person to fall._x000D_ Note: This recall only affects certain aerial devices and digger derricks equipped with cable entry steps._x000D_ A step that detaches could create a risk of injury.

RemedyTo reduce the safety risk, Altec advises that you should check that the cable entry step(s) are properly secured until the recall repairs have been completed. Altec will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact Altec Service to inspect and, if necessary, replace the entry step(s).
