Ford vehicle brake booster pushrod cotter pin to brake pedal may be missing

Defect	On certain vehicles, the cotter pin that secures the brake booster pushrod to the brake pedal may not have been installed. As a result, the pushrod could detach from the pedal and cause a loss of brakes._x000D_ Note: This recall doesn't affect the Transit MPV model._x000D_ A loss of brakes can create the risk of a crash.

Remedy	To reduce the safety risk, Ford advises you not to drive your vehicle until the recall repairs are completed. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact a dealer to arrange for an inspection. The dealer will repair the brake booster assembly, as necessary.
