DefectOn certain vehicles, the cotter pin that secures the brake booster pushrod to the brake pedal may not have been installed. As a result, the pushrod could detach from the pedal and cause a loss of brakes._x000D_ Note: This recall doesn't affect the Transit MPV model._x000D_ A loss of brakes can create the risk of a crash.

RemedyTo reduce the safety risk, Ford advises you not to drive your vehicle until the recall repairs are completed. Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to contact a dealer to arrange for an inspection. The dealer will repair the brake booster assembly, as necessary.
