DefectCell modules in the high-voltage battery may have been incorrectly manufactured, resulting in a possible malfunction in the high-voltage battery and a short circuit. The diagnostic function of the battery management system may not detect this short circuit. The State of Charge status would not be reduced by this function, increasing the risk of fire, including when the vehicle is parked.
