DefectThe negative cable on the battery may cause the earthing connection to become unstable. The chassis engine mountings which create the earthing connection to the vehicle are coated with chassis paint and may have an insulating effect. This may cause the engine to cut out whilst it is running, on account of a loss of power to certain electrical components such as the engine-control unit. Engine-failure may result in an accident caused by loss of control.
RemedyRecall of the product from end users.
