DefectVehicles equipped with diesel engines may experience fuel leakage from the common rail due to an out of specification roundness on the common rail cone. This may lead to poor sealing with the high-pressure pipe nut. As a result, fuel may leak between the nut and the common rail cone, creating fuel vapour and fuel flow towards the hot exhaust system. This can result in an under-hood fire.
