Hazard description	GASGAS Motorcycles (trading as KTM Motorcycle Distributors NZ Limited) is recalling GASGAS Cross Country and Motocross motorcycles with BRAKTEC brake systems. Due to a manufacturing defect, the front brake caliper may crack and break. This can result in a loss of front brake function or cause the front wheel rotation to be obstructed should a break occur. A reduction or loss in front braking performance or resulting loss in operational handling could increase the risk of an accident-causing injury or death to the rider or others.
Remedy	Do not continue using the motorcycle until its front brake caliper has been professionally checked by an authorised GASGAS dealer. Contact the dealer that sold you the motorcycle or another authorised GASGAS dealer as soon as possible to arrange the free recall inspection and any required repairs. Provide the dealer with the motorcycle’s full VIN when making the booking. The motorcycle’s unique VIN (vehicle identification number) is located on the right-hand side of the frame steering head.
