DefectThe impeller of the fuel pump may expand beyond specifications which can lead to low fuel pump pressure. In the event of fuel pump failure, the engine Malfunction Indication Light may illuminate on the dashboard. There is no warning before failure occurs, and as a result, there may be a risk of the engine not starting and/or loss of propulsion while driving. This increases the risk of accidents and injuries.
