DefectDue to a manufacturing defect in the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) module, the bypass flap bolt on the EGR module is not properly tightened. As a result, the bolt may loosen, and exhaust gas may leak from the device.

RemedyFor all vehicles, inspect for traces of soot around the bypass flap bolt of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) module. If soot is present, replace the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) module; if not, retighten the bolt.
