DefectDue to inappropriate material of the grease used for lubricating the stop switch contacts and improper assembly of the switch to the brake lever bracket, the grease may carbonize due to arc discharge between the switch contacts. As a result, if use continues, the resin inside the switch may melt due to heat generated by the carbonized grease, causing the movable contact in the contact area to malfunction, leading to the brake light illuminating even when the brake lever is not squeezed.
