DefectIn the steering column control module, due to an improper manufacturing process, there are areas where the electrical circuit connection is insufficient. As a result, the affected area may experience poor conductivity, potentially causing the airbag warning light to illuminate, and in the worst case, the driver's airbag may not deploy during a frontal collision.

RemedyFor all vehicles, check with a diagnostic tool whether the serial number of the steering column control module corresponds to a defective part. If it does, replace the steering column control module with a non-defective part.
