Defect① Regarding the clutch pulley of the alternator (generator), due to insufficient consideration of durability against engine vibration, if prolonged idling or driving at specific engine speeds is repeated, the clutch inside the pulley may wear out and break. This may cause abnormal noise and the illumination of the charging warning light, and if use is continued in this condition, in the worst case, the engine may stall while driving. ② Regarding the hood molding, due to insufficient consideration of the mounting structure, the molding may deform due to temperature changes, and repeated stress…
Component① Electrical system (alternator (generator)) ② Body (hood molding)
Remedy① For all vehicles, inspect the shape of the alternator pulley, and if applicable, replace it with an improved part. ② For all vehicles, add a reinforcing plate to the hood molding. Depending on some specifications or the damage condition of the molding, it will be replaced with an improved part (molding with a reinforcing plate added).
