DefectDue to an inappropriate program in the BCM (Brake Control Module), when driving downhill for a long period in B-mode or one-pedal drive, the brake hydraulic pressure may not be properly adjusted during braking with the brake pedal. This may result in the brakes not working even when the brake pedal is pressed. *B-mode: A driving mode in PHEV vehicles that strengthens the effect of regenerative braking. One-pedal drive: A driving mode in BEV vehicles that strengthens the effect of regenerative braking.

RemedyFor all vehicles, rewrite the BCM (Brake Control Module) program to the correct program. The program rewrite for improvement will be performed by one of the following methods: Performed by a diagnostic tool at a dealership. Delivered to the target vehicle via remote distribution (OTA) for the user to install themselves.
