DefectA recall is being issued due to the omission of instructions for operating and removing the 3rd-row center seat head restraint in the owner's manual (user manual) due to an error by the responsible department. This prevents proper adjustment and removal/installation, which could increase the risk of injury in a collision. (This results in non-compliance with FMVSS 202a, “Head Restraints” - S4.7 Information in owner's manual. The affected vehicles are imported under the Korea-U.S. FTA and are subject to U.S. standards (FMVSS)).

RemedyPrinted materials explaining how to adjust or remove/install the 3rd-row center head restraint will be sent with the customer notification letter. For customers who do not receive the notification letter, the printed materials will be distributed during service center visits. (Please keep the distributed printed materials with the owner's manual and/or user guide in the glove box.)
