DefectThe voltage regulator wiring may interfere with the crankcase, potentially causing wear or damage. Persistent interference between the wiring and the crankcase could lead to the wire insulation wearing through, exposing the conductor. This may cause a short circuit in the main fuse, resulting in a sudden loss of vehicle power without prior warning to the driver, leading to a loss of motive power and increasing the risk of an accident while driving. This recall addresses this potential issue.
ComponentOther Electrical System Components
RemedyInspect the voltage regulator wiring for interference and damage. Add a fixing point to the wiring to prevent it from interfering with the crankcase. If the wiring is damaged, repair it using the recall kit (part number: 91500119).
