DefectAn improperly manufactured low-density impeller assembled inside the fuel pump may develop cracks on its surface. If fuel penetrates the cracked area during vehicle use and the impeller deforms due to a high-temperature environment, contact with the pump's internal cover can damage the fuel pump motor. If the fuel pump motor is damaged, the fuel pump may stop, preventing the engine from starting, or in the worst case, the engine may stop while driving, potentially affecting safety. This recall is due to this possibility.
