DefectDuring the vehicle production process, the sleeve of the positive cable connection between the 48V starter generator and the battery may have been installed with incorrect pressure. In such cases, the connectivity between the 48V starter generator and the battery may be degraded, leading to a failure in battery charging or engine shutdown. Furthermore, increased contact resistance at the connection point of the 48V starter generator and battery positive cable may lead to a risk of fire, resulting in a recall.
ComponentElectrical system (other)
RemedyReplace with a normally produced 48V starter generator and replace or repair the battery positive cable if necessary.
