DefectDuring the vehicle manufacturing process, the sleeve of the positive cable connection between the 48V starter generator and the battery may have been installed with incorrect pressure. In such cases, the connection between the 48V starter generator and the battery may be degraded, leading to the battery not charging or the engine shutting down. Furthermore, increased contact resistance at the 48V starter generator and battery positive cable connection could potentially cause a fire. This recall is initiated due to this possibility.
ComponentOther electrical components
RemedyReplace with a normally manufactured 48V starter generator and replace or repair the battery positive cable if necessary.
