DefectIt has been confirmed that limitations of the AEB system sensor may cause inconvenience to drivers. While such limitations can be expected considering the system's operational intent, operational interruptions may occur due to external factors such as road conditions, unauthorized dashcams, or front windshield tinting. In such cases, a malfunction may occur under certain conditions, leading to the possibility of unintended AEB braking. This recall is initiated due to the confirmation of this possibility.
ComponentOther braking system components
RemedyA software update will be implemented to compensate for the limitations of the AEB system sensor, and additional safety measures will be recommended, including checking for front windshield damage, tinting, and repositioning of dashcams/Hi-Pass devices.
