DefectRecall due to the possibility of corrosion inside the Body Control Module (BCM), which, if corroded, may cause the front/rear side marker lamps, tail lamps, and license plate lamps to not illuminate or to flash abnormally. (This does not meet U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 108 Table I.-a. - Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment regulations, and can reduce driver visibility and make the vehicle less visible to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.)
ComponentBody/Chassis, Miscellaneous
RemedySupplement the sealing of the affected body joints, and inspect the Body Control Module (BCM) for moisture or corrosion, replacing it if necessary. Although the probability of occurrence is very low, in some situations, a procedure to remove and reinstall the front windshield may be required.
