DefectThere may be a body control module software error, in which case, the power can be turned off with the start button even when the shift lever is in a position other than "P" (i.e., "R/N/D/L") while the vehicle is stationary, or, after pressing the start button to turn off the engine while stationary, if the shift lever is moved to another gear position, the indicator light for the previous shift lever position may remain on. This recall is initiated due to the confirmation of these possibilities. (This may not satisfy U.S. safety standards)
